Director of Strategy

RubLine Marketing is seeking a visionary, data-driven Director of Strategy to serve as the chief architect behind our client campaigns. Rooted in data and driven by grit, this leadership role is responsible for diagnosing client friction points, defining market positioning, and authoring the overarching marketing strategy for our diverse roster of brands.

The ideal candidate will remove the guesswork for our Account Management and Production teams by providing clear, actionable 90-Day Core Directives that guide all multi-channel marketing efforts (SEO, Paid Media, Email/SMS, Organic Social, and Production).

 


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Campaign Architecture

  • Lead the market research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation for all agency clients.
  • Author comprehensive 90-Day Core Directives for clients, dictating copywriting angles, visual aesthetic guidelines, and core offers.
  • Define the funnel architecture for Paid Media (Meta/Google), automated Email/CRM flows, and website conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Team Leadership & Content Management

  • Manage, mentor, and oversee the Social Media and Email marketing teams.
  • Conduct weekly 1-on-1s and creative reviews to ensure all outbound messaging, email copy, and social content strictly adhere to the established brand voice and the active 90-Day Core Directive.
  • Act as the final creative authority for the copy and narrative direction produced by these departments before it is handed to the Account Manager for client submission.

Data Analysis & Real-Time Optimization

  • Analyze mid-campaign performance data (ROAS, CTR, CPA) provided by the execution teams.
  • Dictate strategic pivots when campaigns underperform, providing Account Managers with clear instructions on audience shifts, budget reallocations, or creative refreshes.
  • Translate complex data sets into actionable, easy-to-understand insights for both internal teams and clients.

High-Level Client Leadership

  • Lead Quarterly Strategy Summits with clients to present past performance data and pitch the upcoming 90-day strategic vision.
  • Join Monthly Performance Review calls to discuss high-level metrics and campaign pivots.
  • Act as the agency’s authoritative “heavy hitter” in the room, guiding clients away from emotional decisions and toward data-driven marketing practices.

 


Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of senior-level experience in digital marketing strategy, campaign architecture, or as a marketing strategist.
  • Proven track record of developing high-converting, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive measurable ROI and ROAS.
  • Deep understanding of paid media funnels, technical SEO, email automation, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and reviewing the work of creative or content teams.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze performance data and translate it into immediate strategic pivots.
